With much regret, we must inform you of the passing of Derrick Webber G3LHJ (841).  By QSP from James G4ILW:  “Tony, G6GLP just called me with the sad news that Derrick, G3LHJ – our ex president – just passed away this morning.”

Derrick joined FOC in July 1965, and was our 10th most senior member.

He served FOC as President in 1990.

For many years, Derrick arranged per/member delivery of FOCUS and the Yearbook, carrying multiple boxes sorted by geography to his local post office each quarter.  He continued this task/tradition until the Winter 2021 edition, when health concerns caused him to pass this on to Tim M0UCX who continues this today.

He is preceded in death by his faithful XYL Sylvia, who passed on 17th March 2024.
